What data does OBolo collect?
OBolo’s Google Play data-safety declaration currently reads: no data collected, and no data shared with third parties. You can verify that on the Play Store listing itself. Our own standard goes further: collect only what a defined purpose requires, and explain the purpose.
Does OBolo sell my data or show ads based on my private life?
Private communication is never used for unrelated advertising profiling. If commercial content ever reaches you, it is because of a relationship and permissions you granted — which you can withdraw at any time.
Is OBolo end-to-end encrypted?
Eligible private conversations and calls are designed for end-to-end encryption, with other content protected by strong encryption suited to how it’s shared (audience-encrypted moments, per-file keys, secure channels). We state protection per experience — precisely, and only after technical validation.
Can OBolo read my messages?
Where end-to-end encryption applies, the platform stores ciphertext — content it cannot read. We will never promise access to content we do not technically possess in readable form, and we design so that category keeps growing.
What about my Face ID or fingerprint?
Biometrics stay within your device’s security environment (Apple and Android’s own frameworks). OBolo receives only the result of the check — pass or fail — never the biometric itself.
Is there a master key to my data?
No universal decryption key exists for ordinary user content. Separate keys protect conversations, calls, files, Spaces and channels — with rotation, revocation and recovery designed in.
Is OBolo 100% secure?
No system is, and we won’t claim it. “Unhackable” and “100% private” are banned phrases under our own brand standards. Security here is continuous, layered and honestly stated.
Do you use blockchain?
Only for selected tamper-evident proofs — consent receipts, verification proofs, audit checkpoints. Personal content, messages, numbers, biometrics and files are never placed on any immutable ledger.
How do you handle government or legal requests?
Valid legal requests are honoured under applicable law, due process and published policy — through restricted, authorised, auditable channels. Identity Isolation protects you from commercial and social exposure; it is not a shield against lawful process, and we say so plainly.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Closure follows published retention policy: relationship permissions end, user-owned content is deleted or exported under product controls, and your Dynamic ID™ is never reassigned.
How do I report abuse or a suspicious account?
Every conversation and profile carries block, mute and report controls. Reports go to safety review; blocking is instant and requires no one’s approval but yours.
