The quick five

In a hurry? These cover most of it.

What is OBolo?
OBolo is a privacy-first digital identity and relationship platform — the Operating System for Trusted Digital Life. Today, the free app gives you private messaging, group chats, polls, sub-groups, media sharing and disappearing messages. Underneath it sits the Dynamic ID™ architecture: one verified identity you use for everyday relationships instead of handing out your phone number.
Is OBolo free?
Yes. OBolo is free to download and use on both the App Store and Google Play.
Is my Dynamic ID™ anonymous?
No — and that’s deliberate. It’s verified and accountable, so people and businesses know they’re dealing with a real person. But it isn’t your phone number and it isn’t public. Not anonymous, not exposed: permission-based and persistent.
What data does OBolo collect?
OBolo’s Google Play data-safety declaration currently reads: no data collected, and no data shared with third parties. You can verify that on the Play Store listing itself. Our own standard goes further: collect only what a defined purpose requires, and explain the purpose.
What does a business see when I connect with it?
Exactly what you approved — typically a display name and a loyalty account, plus a customer ID. Not your phone number, email, address or birthday. The request screen shows what’s asked and what isn’t, before you decide.
